Brown/MIT shootings

Why are people saying that these shootings had something to do with Israel/antisemitism? Has anyone else heard these rumors?

The victims were Christian and Muslim, and the shooter and the MIT professor were Portuguese nationals.

This screams of false information/political propaganda…

Because in the absence of evidence, speculation runs wild. Some were saying the professor was killed to allow Trump’s nuclear fusion deal to go through, but as entertaining an idea as that was, it made no sense. This seems more like the story of a man with a grudge who finally snapped. And that is much less interesting than a grand conspiracy.

@WestonTexan havent heard the one about a fusion deal. I think this is more than just “absence of evidence” and wild imaginations. I think this is more of “hypothesis driven conclusion” from a certain segment that has a political agenda. In other words, there are people that want you to believe that everything is some form of antisemitism.

@trollslayer Well, that is also true. The "antisemitism" label is being thrown around so much, including in situations that are clearly not antisemitic, that it is being watered down and turning into a "crying wolf" situation. You'd think people genuinely concerned about antisemitism wouldn't overplay their hand.
