Do the deaf even care about national and international affairs? Does it matter even if they did?

The Trump administration is arguing that requiring real-time American Sign Language interpretation of events like White House press briefings would severely intrude on the President’s prerogative to control the image he presents to the public.

Overturning policies encompassing diversity, equity and inclusion have become a hallmark of his second administration, starting with his very first week back in the White House.

The National Association for the Deaf sued the Trump administration, arguing that the cessation of American Sign Language interpretation — which the Biden administration had used regularly — represented “denying hundreds of thousands of deaf Americans meaningful access to the White House’s real-time communications on various issues of national and international import.”

Trump loves to freeze out any group he feels threatened by.

Even if you disagree with something he's doing he can always accompany it with a piece to camera dramatic music or noise via a video clip to either get his preference across or alienate detractors.

Unless of course you're deaf or blind....in which case you're unlikely to be swayed by any of that nonsense !

And so it continues.
Hide the intent so those with fewer senses than most have no clue what's going on.

Interesting to note that Google measures the percentage of deaf in the UK and US differently if you ask that question.

Surely you are not saying the deaf are a threat to him.

It performative cruelty and a complete derogation of his obligations as a public servant. Adequate communication must surely take priority over his personal image.

Mind you, it is a pretty brave and resilient interpretor who takes on a White House press briefing these days!

No one pays attention to the fat woman making signs and hand gestures unless she was giving the finger behind the President. Trump's obligation is to the people who can make the country great.

A total lack of respect for Americans, some you can be sure voted for him!
He’s alienating people because of their handicaps.
Roll on the mid terms!

The results will be interesting and a big drop in followers , “The likes of which have never been seen before “

That’s your opinion

Its not my opinion but a statement of fact.

And I gave my opinion

You are entitled to it except for the fact that it is not your business as a Brit to criticize President Trump's preference on public presentation of his Administration.
