I once got followed by the police for pulling into a church parking lot to text.
I was pulled over about a half hour after I left the church. I think he pulled me over in front of a Library looking for a place to park. He came up, asked me what I was doing "back there". I didn't know what he was talking about. Then he tells that there was a police officer that pulled into the church parking lot after seeing me there for about 10 minutes. I tell the officer that I was letting my girlfriend know I was in town and to find out where to meet her. Because I don't text and drive. Just then, 3 more squad cars pull up, and I'm like "wtf is this?". They all got out and stood around my car and the officer that pulled me over started straight up lying about seeing my car around town. I had literally just gotten there. And I told the other officers that asked me to roll down my other window the story I told this first guy. Them they asked why, and I wanted to laugh when I said "because it's illegal, and there's a business 6 lane highway right after the church, and I don't text and drive". They all looked puzzled AF, and my phone rang and the officer let me answer it, and it was my girlfriend, asking me where I was, I told her. Amd hung up
The officers were still standing there, and just wished me a good day and left. It felt like something out of super troopers. Then my girlfriend sees them leaving as she makes her way down the sidewalk. It was a bizarre experience. Amd the whole weekend I was in town, they were always tailing me whenever they came across my car. But they couldn't do anything, I wasn't doing anything wrong. I wasn't upset or afraid or anything. I personally thought it was funny that they were trying bso hard to find something wrong with my presence in town. It was so weird. I haven't been back there for about 10 years now
