White House Launches Fake News Portal Featuring ‘Media Offender of the Week’

he Trump White House on Monday launched a new fake news portal, officially titled “Media Offenders,” aimed at exposing false, misleading, and biased reporting.

The site names and shames journalists and news outlets that allegedly spread misinformation and provides counterpoints to their reporting.

The portal features an “Offender Hall of Shame,” which ranks outlets by alleged offenses under the subtitle “A race to the bottom,” as well as a weekly “Media Offender of the Week.”

In the site’s opening salvo, it lists CBS News, The Boston Globe, and the The Independent as Media Offenders of the Week for misrepresenting “President Trump’s call for members of Congress to be held accountable for inciting sedition.”

The platform labels specific stories with terms like “Lie,” “Bias,” “Misrepresentation,” “Omission of context,” and even “Left-wing lunacy.”

Major “mainstream” media outlets are listed , including The Washington Post, Axios, ABC News, CBS News, NBC News, CNN, MSNBC (rebranded as MS NOW), The New York Times, Politico, The Wall Street Journal, and the BBC.

The Washington Post currently tops the “Hall of Shame” leaderboard.

The site includes the “Seditious Six” video showing Democrat lawmakers urging military personnel to refuse what they deem “illegal orders,” alongside a statement asserting that “the president has never given an illegal order.”

The portal also calls out a number of outlets as “Repeat Offenders” featuring a word cloud of the biggest culprits.

“These outlets don’t just get it wrong – they do it over and over again,” the White House portal proclaims.
