It would take a bill being passed by Congress to distribute that money to taxpayers. Only Congress has the power of the purse. tRump doesn't understand this, but most folks do, especially the folks at Treasury.
Rather see it put toward the national debt .. like I would have preferred to see tax money used when Biden paid covid money out to people who were still working, extra unemployment benefits, and all the money spent on letting millions of illegals into the country and giving them food, shelter, cell phones and other benefits

No one is saying ignore anything, but the solution isn't Totalitarianism, as has been proven by this Tяump administration. Lots of people's lives being interrupted, lots of families being separated, and few being dumped off in foreign countries they have never heard of, where they don't speak the language or read the local language.
