Trump now wants to attack more countries including Venezuela but also Columbia and a whole host of other countries.

Says that strikes will happen against Venezuela soon and now is setting eyes on many other countries. I love how our govt assumes that genocide will stop drugs, sure if you manage to get a few drug dealers in those genocides. But you know what would help more? Instead of making ice more funded than some small countries, you decriminalize the use of drugs only and instead focus more on NON-corporate rehabilitation and therapy instead as an alternative. Which already happens when you go to jail but without the jail part if drug use was decriminalize, it would allow states to have more control over the care of serious addicts.

Isn't this kinda crazy though, you hate drug dealers so bad because you think they're horrible but you want to start war with other countries which will kill kids and everyone else too.

Brilliant!

Er whose the criminal now?

I've heard the same justifications used by our govt by serial killers to commit their crimes too, it's all the same.

As long as Trump can show the world that he is actually doing something constructive with the US Military, nobody can say that the US is just sitting on the sidelines doing nothing at all, somewhat like the US did as an Isolationist Nation for the first two years of WWII.

Trump is way too much of a cowardly little man to go head to head with Russia or Israel for the good of the world in general, so by starting his own little war with a nearby country that couldn't even defend itself in a snowball fight against a bunch of girls, Trump will be seen in America's eyes as being the strong fearless American Leader that they all wish that he really was at his feeble core, but which he is not. Keep pretending America, because it doesn't get any better than this.

@swirlie While it is my personal believe that these boats are carrying drugs, I have no proof. And there is certainly no evidence these attacks are working.. Clearly they arent, as the price of drugs on the street in America is not rising. (And thats about the only thing that isnt).😷

There's a lot of money to be made in the drug trade, no different than what's made in the booze trade. During Prohibition, Al Capone didn't want to share the wealth he was making with other players in the same game, so he bought machine guns with booze money and tried to eliminate all the other players because Al was very greedy and cheap.

The USA is no different than Al Capone in that regard. The US is making money off drugs in some covert sort of way I think we could all presume with reasonable accuracy, but like Al Capone, Donald Trump doesn't want to share that wealth with the Drug Lords of Venezuela.

As usual, the USA want it ALL for themselves and do not support the concept of sharing wealth with anyone else or any other Nation which is also why the US has hamstrung itself with tariffs. The USA has always been greedy and cheap, no different than Donald J. Trump himself, no different than Al Capone who wrote the book on Protectionism.

@swirlie Just sometimes I really admire the way you think. This is one of those times. Although there were other factors with Capone, like the racial tensions in America between gangs at the time, even those same factors still come into play now with the US government. Religion and race.😷

@whowasthatmaskedman How do you know the price of drugs on the street in America is not rising?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@ron122 Google is my friend. You should try it sometime...Ask anything....😷
ron122 · 41-45, M
@whowasthatmaskedman Sure you Googled it.🤣
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@ron122 Yes. I googled it. And newspaper and media articles pop up. All "Fake news" to you I am sure. But ER admissions is another good indicator of quantity and purity available. Do your own research. My time costs money..😷

...and here I thought I would only hear those exact words coming from the mouth of my father, which I use to hear more as a brilliant teenager than of late. How shortsighted was I.

@whowasthatmaskedman Your time cost money? Well, aren't you special.🙄
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@ron122 I used to be. But that was a long time ago. Now I am retired. Fortunately you arent much of a challenge..😷

@swirlie I dunno I think if he went to war with several countries they may surprise us. Columbia seems to have that warrior mentality. I'm not entirely sure they'd win but who really know who could step in and what not.

Usually I don't have an issue with self defense but just straight up genocide is wild. I hope we lose is we go toe to toe with any of those countries.
ron122 · 41-45, M
@whowasthatmaskedman You should enjoy your retirement instead of wasting time whining about Trump. You have way too much hate.
swirlie · 31-35
@SatanBurger
The difference between the US and those who live in Colombia is that Colombian warriors are excellent at jungle warfare, whereas the US military sucks at jungle warfare... Vietnam comes to mind.

As well, we don't know what relationship Venezuela has with Putin and China, which means that thousands of Chinese jungle warriors could show up unexpectedly, at which point it would be all over for the US.

@ron122
Ron, why didn't you vote for Kamala Harris instead of Don Trump?
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@whowasthatmaskedman The people were fisherman and until I'm proved wrong, my stance hasn't changed
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@SatanBurger I agree. What America has done here is tantamount to international terrorism..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman what I don't understand is why Hegseth has changed his story and is now claiming the "drug boats" are headed to Europe.

You have to ask then...why attack them if they are not running drugs to the US?
swirlie · 31-35
@SW-User
The truth is, those boats don't have the fuel range to make it all the way from Caracas to Miami without refueling at least 10 times along their journey. Do you really think that refueling 10 times isn't going to draw attention? That's why those drug boats were never heading for the USA anyway. This is all a game of smoke and mirrors because Trump's true motive is changing the Venezuelan government, not stopping the flow of drugs.

@swirlie although I truly think his true motive is causing maximum distraction around the Epstein files
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@SW-User In the end, Trumps motives are all about Trump. No one else.😷
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@SW-User I believe those overgrown, overloaded speed boats are going to cross the Atlantic...... No... Really... I do!!!😷

Oh, I agree with you! My point was that not even Canada recognizes Maduro as Venezuela's legitimate President and Trump has greater issues with Maduro than any other Nation. Maduro has become a convenient scapegoat for Trump to hide behind to deflect attention away from the Epstein issue.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@swirlie That Trump is coming unhinged I have no doubt. So I dont expect anything rational from him. What is disappointing is that no one in government is yet saying "Enough!" But I guess they need things to get worse so a sitting president can be removed with no questions and freedoms "suspended" for a while..😷

The American psyche is sculpted very differently than any other culture on earth, all of which begins for all Americans by the age of 5 and entering grade one.

From that age forward, young boys and girls are 'trained' to memorize the American mantra of greatness, in addition to being brainwashed into agreeing to give one's life if necessary to defend one's country, though the only time the US has ever formally been attacked was during 911, whereby Osama bin Ladin was actually more successful at bringing America to it's knees using non-military personnel and non-military tools at hand to achieve this most useful success for bin Ladin's cause, than any foreign adversary who showed up unannounced and without invitation with tanks and 10,000 troops who might try to achieve the same thing as bin Ladin achieved, but achieved the old fashioned way.

So then, with all the chest pounding and trillions of dollars spent on national defense, a bunch of camel jockeys managed to sneak in under the fence and shutdown the US basically overnight without even being noticed by an airport security guard.

To your point, Americans like to be told what to do by those whom they elevate to rock star status in their government, no matter how incompetent that person may be. Competency at anything isn't America's strong point. Following the orders of some obscure Leader is what Americans are trained to do from youth AND to not question anything that anyone in government says or does.

To question and to object would therefore be viewed as anti-American, which is instilled as a sense of fear to every American from the day they each learn to swear allegiance to their flag, which as I said begins at age 5 or 6.

That is why no one in US government is saying "Enough!". To do otherwise would be contrary to what Americans were taught from the day each one of them learned to wear pull-up cotton underwear and flush the toilet without supervision.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@swirlie I accept all that. And its not necessarily a bad thing and has served America well. But it does require that you are very careful and thoughtful in how you pick the leaders. I think we can agree Americans dropped the ball on that one.
Although, did they? The elected officials are not the real leaders. The leaders are the money men who got them elected to serve the agenda of money..😷
