@Reason10 NOPE. After 9/11, Congress' 2001 Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF) empowered the President to use "all necessary and appropriate force" against those who planned, authorized, or committed the attacks, or harbored such individuals or organizations.

That AUMF enabled these missions you're whining about.

@G7J2O You can argue that the original authorization after 9.11 should have been renewed, or more done, but that’s about it. You can’t argue the AUMF did not exist or how it was used.

@Reason10 No, there was authorization after 9.11. This isn’t really debatable. You can say there should have been more, but to deny the authorization that occurred is just silly.
