@markinkansas FDR helped change things a little because communists threatened to change things much more. Those communists were eliminated in the cold war - Americans have no left in politics ever since! And no way to understand that's fascist.

@Roundandroundwego hard-right critics in the 1930s claimed that Roosevelt was either a state socialist or a communist, and yet the battle goes on.. you are right or left .. and to be fair all of us are a bit of both.. we agree on 80% of all things.. may we live in interesting times
