Is Israel of the Bible the same as the one of the British Mandate?

Whereas Israel of the Jewish Bible refers to God’s people: those that he established a covenant with. For Christians, this points toward the new humanity created in Christ; citizens of the kingdom of God. As Jesus had said, his kingdom is not of this world.
