Syria? Russia didn’t attack Syria. It entered the country because the Syrian government invited it. The United States, on the other hand, was never asked to be there.

The Ukraine conflict goes straight back to 2014. It started because Ukraine targeted and discriminated against Russian speaking communities in Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk. After the U.S. backed Euromaidan coup removed a democratically elected president, Crimea voted overwhelmingly to join Russia.

Then the West helped install Zelensky as their preferred leader and pushed Ukraine toward NATO membership. That is what set the stage for this whole conflict.

@Jokersswild Wow...

Let's break down the many many ways in which you are wrong.

Ukraine targeted and discriminated against Russian speaking communities in Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk

Nope.

Russian-speaking Ukrainians were not being persecuted in any systematic or state-sponsored way. No credible international organization (UN, OSCE, Council of Europe, Amnesty, Human Rights Watch) ever found ANY evidence of Ukraine targeting or discriminating against Russian-speaking populations. If you have evidence to the contrary, please share it.

After the U.S. backed Euromaidan coup removed a democratically elected president,

Nope.

Yanukovych was democratically elected in 2010 and was removed in 2014 after months of mass protests involving hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians from across the country.

His removal was approved by 328 out of 450 members of Ukraine’s parliament, including many from Yanukovych’s own party.

This is not the definition of a coup.😂

Yes, the West supported the protesters. No they did not orchestrate the uprising. There is no evidence for that. If you have some, please share it.

Crimea voted overwhelmingly to join Russia

Surely not even you believe this 😂

The vote was illegal and held under occupation. The referendum was held under Russian military control after armed forces had seized the peninsula.

There was no option to remain part of Ukraine on the ballot.

OSCE observers were not allowed in.

Even Russia admitted only “about half” of eligible voters participated.

Plus independent investigations estimated the real support for joining Russia was about 30-40%, not 97%.

And as you well know, but don't care, the UNGA declared the referendum invalid and Crimea’s annexation illegal.

Then the West helped install Zelensky as their preferred leader and pushed Ukraine toward NATO membership.

Bullshit. Pure conspiracy.

Zelensky was elected in a landslide (73%) in a free and fair election. He defeated Petro Poroshenko, who was actually preferred by many Western governments.

Calling Zelensky “installed” is ridiculous.

If he was "installed", why? Don't for a moment think it was because he would ensure Ukraine joined NATO.

There was no plan for Ukraine to join NATO. They were not even CLOSE to joining NATO, and several countries including France and Germany actively opposed it. Putin knew this.

Plus Russia had signed multiple treaties (1994 Budapest Memorandum, 1997 Russia-Ukraine Treaty, 2009 OSCE Astana Declaration) recognizing Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Saying NATO caused the war is pure Russian propaganda.

Here are the facts.

Putin began an unprovoked war against Ukraine because he does not believe Ukraine is a real state and wanted to bring it back under his sphere of influence. He used a false justification (de-Nazifying the country), which no-one, least of all him, actually believes.

Putin, not Zelenskyy, has the blood of millions on his hands as a result.
