Trump DOJ Moves Two Biden-Commuted Death Row Inmates To ADX Supermax Prison

Last December’s sweeping clemency actions by the Biden administration left many Americans stunned. Remember when presidents actually consulted victims’ families before showing mercy to their loved ones’ killers?

Thirty-seven death row inmates saw their sentences commuted in what critics called a transparent political stunt, decisions made without proper vetting and without notifying the families whose lives had been forever shattered.

Now, under Attorney General Pam Bondi’s leadership, the Justice Department is taking decisive action to ensure these violent offenders face appropriate consequences within the bounds of their commuted sentences. While commutations cannot be reversed, the conditions of confinement can reflect the severe security risks these individuals pose.

Two particularly brutal killers were transferred Thursday to the U.S. Penitentiary Administrative Maximum Facility in Florence, Colorado – the notorious ADX “Supermax” prison. These transfers bring to ten the total number of Biden-commuted death row inmates relocated to America’s most secure federal facility since mid-September, with all 37 expected to be moved there by early next year.

The two criminals processed into ADX on Thursday committed acts so horrific they shock the conscience. One stalked his ex-girlfriend from Virginia to North Carolina, cutting phone lines before dousing her apartment building with gasoline and setting it ablaze. Though she escaped through a second-story window with severe burns, he hunted her down two months later, gunning her down on the street just steps from her mother’s home.

The other, a corrupt New Orleans police officer nicknamed “Robocop,” orchestrated the murder of a mother of three who had filed a brutality complaint against him. The FBI caught him on tape ordering the killing as part of their investigation into a cocaine protection racket he was running. He also falsely testified in murder cases, helping wrongfully convict three teenagers.

These men will now join some of America’s most notorious criminals at ADX, including Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, World Trade Center bomber Ramzi Yousef, and cartel leader “El Chapo.”
