@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout What war is this? The only war that is about to begin is Herr Trump marching America into a conflict with Venezuela. I guarantee this will happen once the Epstein files are released.

@Platinum Trump does not understand what this "peace plan", which was drawn up, in Russian, by Kirill Dmitriev and then translated into English means. To Putin, this shows that Trump is capitulating. And capitulating not because America has suffered losses, but because he is frightened and eager to avoid involvement.
That is the real meaning of this document. And Trump, unsurprisingly, does not understand that. He does not grasp that he is embarrassing not only himself, but also America on the world stage (even more so).
He does not recognize that he is declaring the impotence of a superpower incapable of defending its own interests.
He does not understand that once a state pledges support to an ally, it cannot abandon that promise so ostentatiously.
For Trump, the concepts of “reputation” or “reputational damage” simply do not exist. But for Putin and the rest of the world, they do.
To Putin, this proposal is proof of his victory. If the U.S. is offering terms like these, then in his view it has surrendered and is ready to accept his demands. What matters to him is not an agreement with Ukraine, but an agreement with the U.S. in which Washington formally recognizes Moscow’s terms.
That is why the provision on “Russia-NATO dialogue” will become the centerpiece for the Kremlin. Putin will seek to expand it, elevate it and make it the main axis of any negotiation.
Nevertheless, this document in its current form is dead in the water.

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout So in other words, you believe Ukraine should surrender immediately, and all will be well.

@G7J2O he never said which day...he could have moved soldiers and war ships towards russia and that could have started ww3 but he realised he needed to be more clever dealing with putin ....Ukraine will have to surrender land to end this war, but a democrat leader would have no chance..

@Platinum He said it 53 times during his 2024 campaign, and now claims it was in jest.
The war ends when Putin chooses. No one else. Not Trump, not Zelenskiyy. All Trump can try and do is placate Putin enough with a very large carrot and no stick, as his so called threats have just been laughed off and left Trump looking like a whiny 5-year old.
