When I see western leftist complain that billionaires don't need billions, they should share

I always imagine starving children in third world countries believing that westerners don't need the latest iphone, a fridge worth of food etc and should share.

Westerners are not accumulating and hoarding refrigerators full of food and iPhones. Most need one and have one. Billionaires are accumulating more and more all the time. Instead of it being something they need it's just a scorecard to be shown off at the club.

@MoveAlong True, a liberal mindset doesn't allow for the flourishing of development. Also, why do you "need" an iphone? Why not just get some cheap phone, so long as it does its job? How much does the latest Iphone cost these days? And how much food could that have bought starving children?

@Therealsteve That's just dumb. I get an iPhone every three or four years because they work and last. I could get a cheap one but I need a phone i can count on.

You can't justify your OP.

@MoveAlong Yes I can. I've never needed an iPhone. I just get whatever works and pour my excesses into charitable work.

@MoveAlong My mother to this day has never used a mobile phone and she works and does her own shopping. My father didn't get a smart phone until the past five years and he did so out of convenience since he's retired and has a landline. You are living in excess

@Therealsteve It's not a one size fits all. Do what works for you.

@MoveAlong There is some sort of alternate reality wherein spending $200 on a phone that facilitates the same necessities as the $1000 phone doesn't save you $800?

And absolutely, do what works for you and don't pretend that the consequences of your choices are the fault of someone else being more successful than you.
