@Subsumedpat the house went home on their regularly scheduled recess its up to the senate now

@Mountainlady16 There is nothing regular about leaving when the bill necessarily to fund the government has not passed and been signed.

@Subsumedpat normally the senate would also not be in session right now next week is elections

@Mountainlady16 You know there are plenty of times when I would not like to be in session and leave my job unfinished.

@Subsumedpat the house passed it the senate didnt. i dont know about other representives but mine is working to make sure that ppl have food and resources

@Mountainlady16 No part of their job is to reconcile their legislation with that of the senate and you can't do that when you are not there. If it were in my power I would tell them none of you are leaving till you settle this and if nobody else is getting paid neither will you.
