My first impression of this guy in the video is that he's actually a closet Republican who simply hates Donald Trump.

@swirlie I dunno what makes you think that.

@SatanBurger
The guy either never watched his own video or he's trying to change the narrative of the video to better match his own agenda.
The video talks extensively about the failing lobster industry on the eastern seaboard of the USA. The video also talks extensively about how Canada secured overseas Trade deals with France, Germany and Japan to buy all of Canada's lobster harvest which is tariff-free to those countries which the USA did not do.
The video talks about the US lobster industry failing because of Trump's tariffs on overseas markets, which means foreign countries pay an extra 8% in tariff costs to the USA compared to zero percent on Canadian lobster.
The guy in the video however, says that the failed lobster industry in the USA is due to climate change ..and the fact that Canada has colder water which lobsters like better!
That is why the guy in the video is an out of touch Republican to simply hates Trump, but in fact doesn't really know what he's talking about.

@swirlie Well I looked it up:
Kyle Kulinski is a progressive, not a Republican. He is a left-wing political commentator known for his show, Secular Talk, and is often cited for his commentary on progressive issues and politics.
Kulinski's political positions include:
Support for democratic socialists: He has been a notable supporter of Senator Bernie Sanders.
Key policy advocacy: His platform includes single-payer healthcare, free tuition at public colleges, a federal living wage, and reduced military spending.
Left-leaning commentary: Media analysts have identified him as one of the prominent voices among left-leaning commentators and news creators.
On lobsters:
Both tariffs and climate change have affected the lobster industry.
Tariffs (especially the U.S.-China and U.S.-EU ones during Trump’s term) did cause a sharp drop in exports.
But warming waters in the Gulf of Maine also shifted lobster populations north toward Canada, which scientists have documented for years.
Not really sure what to do with this information, red states are screwed as they rely heavy on govt programs.

I think my point was, Kyle would not acknowledge the good work that Canada had done to secure Canada's lobster industry, but instead blamed the failure of America's lobster industry on global warming, saying nothing of America's failed trade deals.
The only people in the USA who do that are Republicans who hate Trump because Republicans are extremely self-centered and closed-minded individuals. That is why I know Kyle is a closet Republican Trump-hater, not a progressive as he otherwise advertises.

@swirlie But still under Trump’s many policies red states are still collapsing. I mean many districts don't have a hospital now.

@SatanBurger
Oh, I fully agree with that message of his in his video about red states collapsing and I fully understand the lack of sound logic behind their demise. All I'm really saying is that Kyle wants it both ways, as evidenced by the point I made about his video message and lobsters.
