And red states are suffering bad. In a way they voted for this but my heart still goes out to the lady, I don't like to watch suffering especially since it's all preventable.

Yep, and he's blocking Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program for the duration of the shutdown. Rural areas have a higher participation rate for SNAP compared to urban areas, with nearly 86% of eligible rural residents receiving benefits versus nearly 73% of eligible urban residents.

Add that on top of $20 billion to Argentina while Argentina replaces the US as China's source of soybeans, and tRump's new plan to purchase beef from Argentina, and the closure of rural hospitals due to tRump's medicaid cuts, and it's a real bad time to be living in a rural area.

@ElwoodBlues I suspect that if people can't get food, robbery is going to go up. Especially if kids depend on it. Trump is giving people nothing to lose and that's dangerous.
