Physical attractiveness is certainly a factor, but can fade or be over shadowed by other things. Traits like personality, character, rational decision making, communication, and accountability tend to be more enduring factors impacting compatibility.

People more to the center of either political side can usually do fine together if the other factors align. IF either are at the extreme, I think the chance for success erodes as quickly as the ability to tolerate different opinions.

Liberal and conservative mean different things now. In US, GoP in power are doing things in explicit and specific violation of statutes and Constitutional law in multiple areas. I perceive a lack of compassion, which is getting more dangerous.

The so-called left are demonstrating, but are really doing little on the national level since out of power. I read/hear of
"Left" illegalities, but no concrete evidence.
I see and read no violence other than a few odd oddballs getting physical. I read far more of "right" attacking left demonstrators.

I avoid much American media for their biases.

As an Independent, the choice in elections will not be based on superficial policy, but core values of Human rights, compassion, environmental friendly (we require clean air, water and soil to Live), and rule of law. Right now, Dems will get my vote unless they are the old guard corporate Dems.

I find intelligence, humor and compassion attractive. If you are fearful, angry, and wish harm on others because of your insecurities, OR if you push your personal spirituality on others, I find you repulsive.

All that comes to mind is they won't hate on me for being Willa. But they in turn expect me to be Gay or Bi on HRT and wanting a sex change, and I am not about any of that.

When I point that out to them then I get called names and hated on for being a heterosexual cross dresser.
