@JimboSaturn my parents were typical Silent Generation members, though my mom was also close to her Edwardian siblings in thinking. That makes a huge generational gap, obviously a boomer is different. I read "How to Win Friends and Influence People", because the Silent Generation did, but I didn't like it or think it was good advice, like they did.
My brother, born 1965, was Gen X. He had no interest in reading books that old people recommend. He knew how to buy Cliff notes.
