Do you identify particularly as a republican or as a democrat?

That defeats the entire point of a system in which people can vote.

If you don't make an effort to pick the best candidate, you let them win. You no longer have a voice. It's like you're forfeiting your rights.

@Lovelldo: Technically, not voting makes you an idiot. And that's not an insult. The word "idiot" was invented by the Romans, and was used to describe someone who had the right to vote but did not. That was an absolute democracy though, not a representative one.

Not really because believe it or not whatever you choose has the same outcome. Parties work together and presidents are puppets.

Do you even know what democracy is? I'm beginning to wonder. I won't support a broken corrupt democracy that doesn't mean I don't believe in the freedom to vote.

I never said I'd fix the broken system but unlike idiots that vote, I don't contribute to it.

That is just about the only thing you can do. Even if it makes almost zero difference...it's still the single thing you can do to at least try to have some kind of influence.

But I'm not stupid so I won't vote. The president has no power and the parties work together anyway. You really think the Government is dumb enough to let a country mainly populated by idiots to decide what is a good decision? Give me a break. Why do you think presidents barely ever keep their promises? Because they have no power, the system has the power.

The Vice President has no power.. Senates, the workers in congress have the power.. Everything is a joint decision between them but hey you totally have them figured out because of their religion and the court jesters they show you on TV.
