Republicans are on full display for their incompetence in running the government... and in delivering insults.
How low can they sink... and sink America?
1. They can't manage the air traffic control work force and there are airport shutdowns across multiple airports in many cities. 2. Federal workers (including military) are not getting paid while Congress take home pay is not affected. 3. Republicans can't get the Epstein Files released. Possibly they don't want to. Perhaps they want to provide cover for pedophiles. 4. Farmers are reeling from losing the China market for soybeans as China switches to Argentina and other countries because of tariff policy. 5. Republicans refuse to submit to Congressional oversight and instead choose to read insults from an insult book. 6. Social unrest across major cities as clergy and other American citizens praying in the street is pepper bombed by ICE goons. 7. Homeland Security claims they arrested the "girlfriend of ANTIFA."

Tip: If you want to insult someone effectively, don't rely on pre-written notes.
It's not that the Republicans can't get the Epstein files released; they don't want to release them. Thomas Massie (R-KY) has submitted a discharge petition that if passed would force Congress to go on record and vote whether or not to release the files. All Democrats are voting for the petition along with a few Republicans, while most Republicans are voting against it. The petition needs one more vote to pass. Adelita Grijalva (D-AZ) was just elected in a special election to fill her deceased father's seat, but Speaker Mike Johnson is refusing to swear her in until Congress is in official session in a few weeks. Grijalva could be sworn in during a pro forma session (and Johnson did this for two Republicans a few months ago). There's no explanation for this other than giving Johnson more time to lean on the Republicans who are voting with the Democrats on the discharge petition. One of these is Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has said that the pressure she is getting now from Johnson to change her vote (she is voting with the Democrats) is more intense than any other pressure she's experienced since her election to Congress.
I do wish that Democrats would put and end to Republica accusations that it's the Democrats causing the problem and reverse it on Republicans with valid points of Republican delays.
Just the fact that Republicans refuse it meet obviously isn't enough. They could point to the fact that Arizona Democrat Adelita Grijalva hasn't been sworen in. Or that the Republican budget funds part of the national guard. On and on and on.
Add foreign policies to the list. It's endless. Trump wants these delays for multiple reasons. The Epstein files was just a delay tactic for everything not being discussed in Congress.
Yet none of this can happen with Republican delays.
@DeWayfarer I can assure you, Pedophile enthusiast with showgirl style make-up Cry-Baby-trump will find someone to blame for his warlike behaviour being ignored to give "his" award to someone who probably doesn't even speak English as well as he does. No one knows more about speaking English than him. You do know, he practically invented the English language. No one really spoke English until he came along. And, then there are the windmills...
@missyann No it isn't. Just ask Marjorie Taylor-Greene if you don't have the competence to check for yourself. In fact, it is illegal for non-residents to be registered for healthcare and no one in any political party is trying to change that.
Perhaps you will join the crusade to sterilize all illegals and induce abortions for those who are already carrying life forms in their bodies. That seems like a movement designed just for you. You might even be able to become a neighbourhood leader.

But I’m going to go against everyone on this issue because when the tax credits expire this year my own adult children’s insurance premiums for 2026 are going to DOUBLE, along with all the wonderful families and hard-working people in my district.
No I’m not towing the party line on this, or playing loyalty games. I’m a Republican and won’t vote for illegals to have any tax payer funded healthcare or benefits.
I’m AMERICA ONLY!!!
I’m carving my own lane.
And I’m absolutely disgusted that health insurance premiums will DOUBLE if the tax credits expire this year.
. . .
Again, NO FUNDING FOR ILLEGALS AND ANY BENEFITS FOR THEM, BUT WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE ABSOLUTELY INSANE COST OF INSURANCE FOR AMERICANS. ...
@missyann You have been misinformed. Unauthorized immigrants are not eligible for federally funded healthcare programs like Medicaid, Medicare, or subsidies for Affordable Care Act marketplace plans.
Step out of the MAGA bubble and into the light for a while.
