so as a non-american observing the situation from the outside, what is happening in the U.S. is very scary

it really appears like the U.S. is very quickly falling under the domination of a fashist state. the president acts like he is above the law, people are being kidnapped and incarcerated without due process, a militia has been created that answers only to the president and is carrying out these kidnapping without showing faces or I.D., president trying to make people believe that the level of civil unrest is so bad that it warrants using emergency insurection act with a spoksperson for the president actually stating the the president under this act had absolute power . now troops were sent from Texas to Illinois with the maire of chicago and the governor saying they must organise to protect themselves and their citizens from an illegal move from the president. sounds like civil war and a fashist take over is happening as we speak. what the hell ?

You should learn how to spell fascist. Then you should learn what it means. Your ignorance is alarming. Wherever you live, I hope that you don't vote.

The current U.S. president is fulfilling his responsibility to enforce existing law. No more. No less.

Nobody is being kidnapped. Criminals are being arrested. Not the same thing.

National guard troops are being used to protect law enforcement from rioters.

The president is not the one breaking the law. The radical governors and mayors (you should learn to spell that word too) are breaking the law.

Trump is just doing his duty under the law.

You are a prime example of why we must stop using the phrase 'how stupid can you be' because people like you seem to be taking it as a challenge.

@justbob My apologies for being critical of your spelling ... I sort of assumed you were Canadian or English and knew the language. It belatedly occurred to me that you could be from anywhere and English could be a second or third language.

My other points stand though.

I guess that's true, if you consider invoking emergency powers as if he's ordering a hamburger, a normal state of affairs.
And why does he invoke those emergency powers? Because without them, he wouldn't be able to do what he promised to do... because it doesn't fit inside the law Bob.

But hey... can't work within the law, just declare a national emergency and do what you want untill the process in judicial system is finished and the supreme court tells you to stop. In the meantime, while that process is running, a lot of the damadge is already done. And people, like yourself, can pretend that it's all lawfull.

Also, the fascist remark... if the MAGA world doesn't want to be compared to those 1920s and 1930s movements, maybe they shouldn't try so hard to look as them? From retweeting fascists:

To using symbols:

To copying language... like talking about how the blood of the nation is being poisoned. Or Stephen Miller plaguerising parts of Joseph Goebels' speech at the Charlie Kirk memorial service, to obsessing over "warriors", to showing the drill sergeant from Full Metal Jacket as an ideal for the militairy, using actual pictures of the wehrmacht during the 2nd world war in their propaganda, using a concept like "a new reich" in their propaganda, using a quote from William Gayley Simpson for their DHS recruitment campaign, ... or just using "America First" which was used by American Fascists in the 1930s. Just like Oswald Mosley who used "Britain First" for his fascist movement.

But hey... that's okay, I understand you haven't been paying attention. And it's probably hard to see what's going on, when your conception of fascism is dulled down to hollywood levels.

@justbob @ElwoodBlues Elwood: You've just proved that you can lead a Magat to the truth but you can't teach them to think, read and understand.
