Hey Vance lovers!

If you haven't read his "Hillbilly Elegy", you might want to, especially if you are unemployed or underemployed because he basically says you are all lazy fuckers living rich off welfare!

Being poor is your fault entirely because you are just too unmotivated and have horrible attitudes to work! He makes no differentiation between races or genders. You all are just fucking lazy and don't want to work!

Hillbilly Elegy was such a grift. That it was so popular with "liberal intelligentsia" is embarrassing. But it's also not surprising, because they were being told by a self-proclaimed hillbilly that it was okay to look down on poor people, which is something they already did anyway.

It's just the classic "bootstraps/poverty is cultural" argument that all those who deny systemic failures make. In the meantime he throws his supposed people under the bus.
