So smart Satan. It is private investments going to private companies so the taxpayers are not stuck with so many people to support.
But of course, communists don’t know about people not being controlled by the government. You have really shown yourself this time.

@MarthannBann888 Oh you're confusing things quite a bit. You don't understand that tariffs aren't private investments but taxes collected by the US govt on imported goods and that money does go to the treasury general fund, not to private companies.
Private investments are something else entirely.
When a company builds a factory or invests in equipment, that’s private investment.
But that has nothing to do with tariff revenue.
Trump’s “trillions” claim was misleading.
He exaggerated. The U.S. only collected tens of billions in tariffs.
Economists agree most of the cost was paid by U.S. businesses and consumers, not China.
So you're confusing “tariffs” with foreign direct investment (FDI).
Example: sometimes Trump bragged that China (or others) were “investing billions in America” at the same time he was talking about tariffs.
Sometimes it's easy to conflate the two though as Trump bragged about private investments at the same time as tariffs.

@MarthannBann888 But I'll forgive you for confusing the two, it is easy to do. I accept your apology.

@SatanBurger
Let’s make this simple, investments go to companies, tariffs go to the government. Please use these more clearly.

@MarthannBann888 You can always thank me for setting you straight. It's easy to confuse tariffs with private investments.
