When you hear about conservative assholes like Clay Higgens

Who have blatantly expressed racism and bigotry to violent levels, and all the people behind trying to flip all media to conservative hyperbola and conspiracies of misinformation, hate and violence under the guise of Christianity, I can only continue to think 2 things:

1) how amazingly hateful and vengeful conservatives are that they see and hear the rhetoric of literally killing anyone not white for simply existing. Either that or just so exceptionally stupid they are such easy targets to be played so hard; and

2) how little people are fully aware of everything political and are only looking at the surface level. And that goes for everyone, regardless of party. We all are in arms over things, and we know it is fascist, but we don't want to really dig deeper and find out why their outcries won't accomplish a damn thing. Unless they can pull out a bankroll bigger than Fox, Sinclaire, Walmart, the Koch Brothers, Turning Point, The Heritage Foundation, and hundreds of others who are openly throwing money at the administration to continue this fascist slide, there is literally no hope at all for any kind of meaningful changes.

If you think boycotts, protests, and the weakest forms of retaliation are going to work, it really isn't. It goes so far deeper and has so many tendrils of reach, they are literally like mycelium.

I hate being so disappointing and pessimistic, but honestly, everything I hear is dire, impossible to overcome by "normal" and "regular" means. We are way beyond simple means to end what is happening. That line was passed in 2008. Our time to act was then and we missed it.

Boycotts do work. They must be serious and prolonged.
Money does go deep. It facilitates power. Stem the flow of profits, lessen the power of some of those tendrils.

@Carla How many people resubscribed to Disney+ and Hulu when they brought back Kimmel?

Also, they weren't the ones putting the pressure to get Kimmel removed. That was Sinclaire and another company. So everyone targeted the wrong companies. How is that helpful?
Carla · 61-69, F
@FoxyQueen those companies also caved. Kimmel is again nationwide.
Im not saying protest and boycotts are the full answer. But they are persuasive.
As far as people reupping subscriptions...punishment...reward.
