Don't Be Embarrassed MAGAts. We and the World Are Embarrassed Enough For All of You

By MoveAlong

Seven years ago when Trump addressed the UN he started off with: "In less than two years my administration has accomplished more than almost any administration in American history".

Audible laughter broke out throughout the assembled Delegates and Trump was caught off guard and appeared to recognize he was the object of ridicule. He looked uncomfortable until his moment on stage mercifully came to an end.

Fast forward to today. Trump once again addressed the World's Delegates. This time the rhetoric was even more self serving and more dishonest than seven years before. It was different this time though. There was no laughter. No earnest applause. There were uncomfortable glances around he room however.

It appears the world is aware that Trump has cost America its perch on the highest limb of world order.

I think some were shocked. Some were scared. Some were sorrowful. But make no mistake. All were embarrassed. Embarrassed for the citizens of the country that was once the world leader of all things that were righteous and just in a complicated and dangerous world. There was no embarrassment for the man himself though. They have long known and once again saw for themselves that he is no leader, no friend and no one to be counted on.

So MAGAts you don't have to admit your embarrassment. I know that in most of you it doesn't exist. But make no mistake the World is embarrassed for you.

I wonder how the soy farmers are feeling right now.... China didn't buy ANY from the states this year ...

@Convivial I don't know about this year but the big ugly bill cuts into future farm subsidies.

@MoveAlong if one was cynical you could almost see it as forcing father's off their land so it can be bought up cheaply by the conglomerates...

@Convivial I can see that. I'm ok with farm subsidies that kick in when nature decimates their crops. Farmers are in a high risk business and they are important to the country's security.
