I think the word facist is another f word that is being over used and has lost its effectiveness in meaning because of it.

@Adrift do you have any suggestion for a way to describe a political part that takes away rights, that says there is only one religion that should be practiced, that concentrated money and power in a small group and holds one person as it's virtual God?
Here is the definition of fascism injust got from Google with AI. Does it strike home?
AI Overview
+11
Fascism is a far-right, authoritarian, and ultranationalist political ideology defined by a dictatorial leader, the forcible suppression of opposition, and the regimentation of society and the economy. It emerged in early 20th-century Europe, with the most infamous regimes being Benito Mussolini's in Italy and Adolf Hitler's in Germany.
Core characteristics
Dictatorial leadership: Fascism is led by a single, all-powerful dictator who embodies the will of the nation. The leader often fosters a "cult of personality" and is glorified through propaganda.
Ultranationalism and xenophobia: This ideology promotes intense, often exclusionary, nationalism, with a fervent belief in the superiority of one's own nation or race. This frequently involves demonizing and scapegoating "outsiders," such as ethnic or religious minorities and immigrants, for national problems.
Militarism and violence: Fascists view political violence, imperialist conquest, and war as instruments for achieving national rejuvenation. The military is often glorified, and paramilitary groups may be used to intimidate or eliminate political opponents.
Totalitarianism: Fascist regimes seek to control all aspects of society and individuals' lives, including the media, culture, and economy. This requires the elimination of political opposition and dissent.
Anti-democratic and anti-liberal: Fascism fundamentally opposes liberal democracy, with its emphasis on individual rights and pluralism, which it sees as weakening the state.
Economic regimentation: While often allied with powerful business interests and hostile to communism and socialism, fascist regimes exert significant state control over the economy to serve national goals, such as militarism and self-sufficiency.
