I don’t remember if it was a press release or some interview but it basically went like
“We love transparency. We’re striving to be the most transparent government ever. And we love freedom of the press. But in the interest of national security we’re going to restrict what can be printed.”
I’m paraphrasing but it sums up pretty nicely what’s going on here. Looks like Orwell was right once again because them speaking is sounding awfully doubly, you know?
