From the people who have been lecturing the rest of the world on free speech. No wonder the Putin regime is no longer an enemy of the US government: they admire them and want to do the same as they have been doing for years. So sad for you all over there.

@FreddieUK Thanks, but it's a long way from over. More than half of the country does not support them. In our House of Representatives the Right has 219 seats the Left 213. in the Senate it's 53-47. And of course they own the WH. The Right have benefitted by where their voters are located rather than sheer numbers.

IMO we are now in a civil war. Not a shooting war mind you. But when we reach a tipping point the left will fight back with our ability to slow the economy to a near standstill. This may happen not long before the midterm elections in Nov '26. It is also my opinion that when the powerful and wealthy begin to lose the only thing they hold dear (money) those in power will be swept away.

Edit: You may have heard this before.

@MoveAlong I find this quite encouraging in that you see a winnable contest with these terrible ideas.

@FreddieUK Yeah, I do think this is rather ivory tower. Words and ideas aren't going to win and even botcotting will not win because no one has the longevity, particularly in this case where you suddenly realize you've no longer got any entertainment lol

I don't know what will happen. I don't think it will start before the midterms because too many democrats have their hearts set on flipping seats, even though it has been proven time and time again, that does very little. The time to have stopped these things is long passed.

But any ideas at this point are ideas. It's better than what has been happening.
