Do u believe that Fox News is the worst news network ever 🛜

It appears it has always been that way. The network 🛜
of lies and propaganda. The no spin zone.
One of the Fox News and Friends host..Mr Kilmeade...made a comment about homeless
people recently. Google this story if you haven't heard about it already. It's so disgusting, I don't even want to repeat what he said. Since that comment took place...a mass shooting took place in Minnesota at a homeless camp the other day..Now on yesterday, late night show host Jimmy Kimmel was fired.
He made a comment about Charlie Kirk.
Ok. So is this where we are right now as a country.
Is this the new narrative. The Right can say what they want, but the Left cannot. Are you kidding me. Such blatant hypocrisy!
Do you believe that Fox News is the worst
cable news network of all time. Comments please.

Dang dude. Is that chick on Fox? I may tune in. LOL

Seriously man. There is no news worth watching anymore.
I can't believe I have become one of those "Back in my day" types but I do remember when news was just news with no agendas, no personal takes etc..
I am a conservative but I can't watch Fox.
I like to see both sides of a story. I don't like echo chambers.
If all we ever see and hear is just reinforcement of what we already think, where is the room to learn and grow.
IDK I guess I'm old.
FreddieUK · 70-79, M
@Dainbramadge I appreciate hearing this 'take' on it from a conservative. Thanks.
Zonuss · 46-50, M
@Dainbramadge Yeah it's a bit too extreme nowadays. But since they started spewing Right Wing rhetoric it has gone downhill.
dale74 · M
Who did the shooting at the homeless camp?

Also one commentators on a program does not equal all commentators like on cnn spreading lies and hate and literally saying the exact same message, and that doesn't just count c in the end that counts all the news.Networks that we're using the same speech.
Zonuss · 46-50, M
@dale74 Along with other Republicans.
You know like the ones who endorse hangings. Like the ones from Tennessee.
Yeah. Let's ignore the truth shall we
dale74 · M
@Zonuss don't have a clue what you're making up

The Brits gave their verdict by not watching it and forced them off the air in the UK. Mind you, we now have something called GB News which I think is now our equivalent with right wing politicians pretending to be purveyors of news. They have a faithful following but not yet in the mainstream as Fox News is in the States.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@FreddieUK So Sky news is following the guidelines there, yet not here. They even allow Fox franchises use their channels here.

The whole system is corrupted here, with franchises claiming to be one thing, yet owned by Fox still.
FreddieUK · 70-79, M
@DeWayfarer Once again the differences in the approach of central government become clear. Sky News UK can be very tough on politicians from all sides, I understand.
Zonuss · 46-50, M
@FreddieUK Sky News is so far Right. 😂

FoxNews is great entertainment for me on cleaning day here at my condo! The reason I like FoxNews is because it's like watching a 'live' version of The National Enquirer play out as I stand at the checkout counter in a grocery store reading the front page in the adjacent newsstand!

I don't mean that to sound facetious, but being a glossy magazine Journalist myself, I have a true appreciation for the FoxNews Producers who plan every episode of FoxNews before it is aired. That takes great talent! The stories and headlines are totally bazaar but thoroughly entertaining, no different than the front page of National Enquirer on any given week.

Additionally, the hosts of FoxNews are always impeccably dressed, always looking very classy and super attractive to look at. Though I am a bleeding heart Liberal when it comes to voting, just take a look at CNN if you want to make an opposite and honest comparison.

The news anchors at CNN with the exception of John Berman, all look like slobs, I mean fat slobs most of the time and often they are hard to watch or listen to. Though I am a Liberal, I watch FoxNews strictly for it's entertainment value and Journalistic creativity, even if it's all outlandishly bazaar!
@swirlie The tabloids are clearly where Fox came from

Well... the mission of Fox was never to give you any real reporting and journalism. The entire idea behind it was to put the GOP on TV. That's why the concept letter that was given to Nixon for this construction was also blatantly called: "A plan for putting the GOP on TV news".

SOURCE: https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/5024551-A-Plan-for-Putting-the-GOP-on-the-News/

Today television news is watched more often than people read newspapers, than people listen to the radio, than people read or gather any other form of communication. The reason: People are lazy. With television you just sit—watch—listen. The thinking is done for you.

These are GOP loyalists, telling you exactly what they want to do. They want to think for you, because they believe this is already what is happening.

So yeah... the aim from the beginning was to be a propaganda network, it serves one party and shows everything through that parties lense. Therefore, it's not "news" it's just a 24 hour commercial for GOP talking points.

@Kwek00 when nixon was in office cable tv was not even a thing and the democrats have owned pbs nbc cbs and abs since the 60's
Zonuss · 46-50, M
@dale74 Cable tv came out in 1948.
The cable TV boom took place in 1978.
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@dale74 Cable TV became a thing in 1948. According to CCTA, 16 million households were subscribed to cable at the end of the 1970s.

But who cares about all that... I mean, your follow up makes the cable TV thing moot:

[...] and the democrats have owned pbs nbc cbs and abs since the 60's

Also... is there any evidence the democrats owned any of these networks? Any evidence what so ever?

EDIT: You have to love that this got downvoted... because I corrected someone and I asked for evidence. LOL 🤣
It's a bit hysterical at times- I'll stick to 'The Spectator' and 'The Sun' 😅
I'll buy the worst really successful network for sure.

I tried watching some OAN a few years back, and that seemed far worse than Fox.
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@MistyCee Well yeah... they rebranded themselves to just be Pro-Trump. Also something you can hardly call "news".
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
Republicans can't take hard truths. Hard Truths are lies to them. While brainwashing, soft white lies, are the Truth to them.

You repeat a lie over and over again, it becomes the truth.

Therefore with Trump repeatedly saying:"You are a nasty person" when confronted with a hard Truth, that becomes the truth.

Making whatever hard Truth said irrelevant.
FOX News is not news. It's polemical opinion.
Zonuss · 46-50, M
@wishforthenight Exactly.
tenente · 36-40, M
Best propaganda for a fascist regime.
FoolishLuna · 56-60, F
@tenente it’s their Kool-Aid
The Zonuss I used to know was a reasonable man. This one seems to have gone off the deep end.

@jackjjackson Yeah. A hit dog always hollers.
Didn’t you libs forbid the use of that bad word? Carefully run mail in balloting where ballots are sent to people that request them is fine with me and what I’ve been doing. @Kwek00
What is MSNOWHEREANYMORE?
You don’t like Joy Reid? Rachel Maddow? @Zonuss
Zonuss · 46-50, M
Why not? They seem like nice enough ladies? @Zonuss
