Not much to disagree with there.
We have some difference of opinion trade, particularly when it comes to China (I favor revoking PNTR). And an American steel industry is essential to national defense. But other than that, yes, Democrats should generally embrace Free Trade with democratic nations and allies. Call it "Fair Trade" if you will. But, sure, there will be quibbles about it.

On immigration?
(1) Stop illegal border crossings (that also helps with the drug war).
(2) do a background on all undocumented immigrants and for non-violent offenders give them all who come forward - yes, all of them - a green card, with an option for citizenship within 10 years at the most.
(3) put severe penalties on employers who hired undocument immigrants.
(4) Leave the 14th Amendment alone.
On regulations?
Well, that depends on the regulation. Some are good, some may be unnecessary. And others should be created.
Crime fighting? That's a local issue. The federal government can help, but needs to stay out of local policing. We don't have a national police force - and for good reason. Trump is dangerously trying to change that.

You have some truth, but you are too young to have ex?erienced e?the reality of the last 60-70 years. The Democratic party is FAR more "conservative" (defined as pro-capitalism to exclusion of life quality, less environmentally sensitive, pro worker, etc etc) than the late 1960s and early 1970s.
In the 1950s, republican Eisenhower supported health care and higher taxes on the wealthy while warning of the military-industrial complex's increasing influence on policy.
In sum, BOTH parties have drifted right. The Clintons accelerated this shift for the Dems.
The "r?far left" as you call it is hardly extreme by 1970s standards. Bernie and AOC are just liberals from the 1970s. Socialism/Communism expressed then was true communism -- NOT the use of it in place of "boogeyman" as it is now.
Note: a true communlst has never ruled. Those revolutions all fell to oligarchs amd dictators who used the talking point symbols to fool followers - much like US politicians, now using the symbolism of freedoms (speech, press, guns, etc.), do now.
I vote core values.... environmental health, compassion, quality of life, social equity, true free speech that does not espouse/promote violence or other rights violations, true religious freedom not foisted by the govt, etc etc.
Trump/MAGAs have labelled those values as communist or other boogeyman terms. The offed guy derisively called "compassion" a New Age term. --The psychologist who evaluated Nazis defendants identified "lack of compassion" as the one common characteristic of the defendants, btw.
I abhor political parties. They always break down into high school level immature rah-rah-my team tribalism. Parties are NOT mentioned in the US Constitution.
I desire single civil primaries. Top tmree go to general election. Then use ranked choice to decide. Vote for individuals... Not rah-rah tribes.
