People need to stop saying the left is at fault for this or the right is at fault for that.

Some guy was crazy enough to kill another human being on air. It's not that different from the many mass shootings our country has experienced. We are mentally ill as a nation, paranoid, and trying to blame it on one another. And as I say, we will starve ourselves in the pursuit of absolute security.

I said this before he was caught - and got ridiculed for it. This really wasn’t politically motivated - at least directly. This is about the conflict between the shooter and his family/community of origin. No different than other young shooters who want attention. In his case - maybe attention from his conservative upbringing, or maybe to appear as a big shot to his online friends. Really had little to with Kirk - but more about what he represents. Total shame that Kirk was in the crosshairs.

And I will state again - I couldn’t disagree more with Kirk’s message - but a person has a right to believe what he/she wants even if it means pissing a whole lot of people off. He was a person that many looked to, including many in my family. I in no way consider him “evil”.
