Was Charlie Kirk assassinated or was he murdered?

Keep in mind that he wasn't a political figure but he was in Trump's tight inner-circle, though he never admitted that he was, but he was Trump's MAGA advisor.

Murder is the intentional, unlawful killing of a person, while assassination is a specific type of murder that targets a public figure, such as a political leader, with the goal of achieving a political, ideological, or religious objective.

~ Google AI

Based on that, I would say he was both murdered and assassinated.
Is the wording all that critical when we know it’s a tragedy? @KiwiBird @swirlie

When you're a family member huddled around a rectangular-shaped hole in the ground, no, the wording of why you are all gather there on that day doesn't much matter.

The reason this thread of mine was created in the first place is because there is a faction floating around out there who seem to think that Charlie was a bigger entity on earth than he actually was in the real world, hence their repeated reference to Charlie being "Assassinated", not murdered.

I guess I just wanted to see if anyone else noticed this political anomaly popping up here and there as certain social media sites and news networks were artificially elevating Charlie to heights he simply hadn't achieved yet while he was still living.
He was enough of a public figure flags nationwide are at half staff for many days. That makes him a public figured. Assassinated. No legitimate dispute.

So then, Charlie received the benefits of both then. Is that what you mean?
vetguy1991 · 51-55, M
@swirlie yes
He was definitely murdered. The killer made too many, I'm not even going to say (rookie), Just plane mistakes.

@Slicker24
Well, that's a different way of categorizing Assassination versus murder. I never thought about professionalism in achieving the task as being a cornerstone for ruling a person's death as being committed by an Assassin versus a murderer.
The name Lee Harvey Oswald disproves your theory. @Slicker24

Pretty much every major right-wing media figure works directly with the Republicans.

@BohoBabe
The Republican Party no longer exists in America. Regardless of that fact, what does your post have to do with the question?
BohoBabe · M
@swirlie Charlie Kirk wasn't just a pundit who talked about the news. He was a Republican in that he worked with the party, like you said, in Trump's inner-circle.
So I'd say he was assassinated.

@BohoBabe
Did working covertly in Trump's inner-circle advising Trump of the ongoing status of MAGA, make Charlie a political figure if nobody outside Trump's inner-circle were ever aware that Charlie was Trump's top MAGA advisor?
Does it matter. He’s dead either way.

Answer the question properly and play right, or else you'll be banished to the hinterlands without food, water or social media to play with.

@Floki Yes. It matters.

Okay, fair enough, good point you finally raised! Keep up the good work! And tell your buddy @GuidanceCounselor before he gets outside that his fly is still open.
As if you would know that ma’am. @swirlie

He'll know what I mean and that's all that really matters!
He’s dead regardless and every leftie of SW is writing gleefully.
