Jeanine Pirro Announces Historic Seizure of 700,000 Pounds of Drug Precursors from China-Mexico Cartel Route

Something fundamental changed when President Trump returned to office. Finally, someone had the guts to call it what it is. Instead of treating drug cartels like mere criminal organizations, his administration recognized them for what they truly are: terrorist organizations waging war on American soil. This wasn’t just rhetoric—it was a legal designation that would unlock powerful new tools for protecting American families.

This week, that new approach delivered historic results. U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro announced the largest seizure of drug precursor chemicals in American history—over 700,000 pounds of deadly substances intercepted before they could poison our communities. The chemicals, seized in two maritime operations off Panama’s coast, were heading from Shanghai, China, directly to Mexico’s Sinaloa Cartel.

From U.S. Attorney Pirro:
"Every day, tons of chemicals that are used to create synthetic drugs like methamphetamine and fentanyl are shipped from China to Mexico in China’s undeclared war against America and her citizens. Every day, in funeral homes across this country we see the tragic consequences of what can happen in this undeclared war."

The numbers are staggering. These chemicals—363,000 pounds of benzyl alcohol and 334,000 pounds of N-methyl formamide—could have produced 420,000 pounds of methamphetamine. That’s $569 million worth of poison that won’t reach Houston’s streets, a value that would have multiplied as it spread across America. Think about that for a second. The Sinaloa Cartel’s laboratories, capable of producing a ton of meth weekly, won’t be using these particular barrels.

What made this seizure possible? Trump’s designation of the Sinaloa Cartel as a Foreign Terrorist Organization on January 20, 2025. This gave federal prosecutors terrorism forfeiture provisions—real teeth to bite back against those targeting our nation. The operation required coordination between ICE, DEA, FBI, CBP, and even the Department of Defense. It would take 24 semi-trucks just to move these seized chemicals to secure storage.

This is what actual leadership looks like. Not empty promises about “getting tough” while the killing continues. Not endless committees studying the problem while more Americans die. It’s decisive action that disrupts the pipeline of death flowing from China through Mexico into our neighborhoods. You want results? This is what results look like.

@Dino11 I thought you guys were telling us the drugs were all coming on the backs of "illegal" immigrants sneaking thru the desert!!

What in the world are those scary sounding substances the heroic DEA found??

No, benzyl alcohol is not a controlled substance. It is not regulated under the Controlled Substances Act in the United States, but it is subject to other regulations by government agencies due to its various applications. Benzyl alcohol is a naturally occurring and synthetic chemical used as a preservative, solvent, and fragrance in a wide variety of products, including pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and food.
In medicine, it is used as a preservative in some injectable medications, such as multi-dose vials. It was also used topically in a discontinued head lice treatment.

No, N-methyl formamide is not a controlled substance according to United States law or international conventions, as it is not listed as a precursor chemical by the DEA or within the UN's International Narcotics Control Board's tables. It is a common industrial solvent, though it has seen some interest in illicit drug synthesis research, it is not a scheduled or controlled chemical itself. N-methyl formamide is primarily an industrial chemical used as a solvent in various applications.
@sunsporter1649 Nope.
Scared you are gonna have more misleading claims exposed, eh

@ElwoodBlues Your continued support of criminal activity is noted
@sunsporter1649 Please enlighten us!!

In what way does telling the truth about benzyl alcohol and/or N-methyl formamide constitute "continued support of criminal activity"??

BTW, are you en route to Chicago to defend against criminal government overreach??
