The ban seems draconian and illiberal to me, but I understand it was the result of screening criteria that are applied to all political groups.
The police consistently point out that their limited resources are stretched by large protests, trying to ensure that everyone is safe and has the right to freely express an opinion in public. If people are genuinely concerned about this, perhaps they could find other ways to make their voices heard.

@SunshineGirl There must be a very good reason why the British government has not recognised Palestine, and still supports Isreal.
But I fail to see it from my limited perspective.
Lord Cameron did all he could to get food into Gaza. This government has done nothing. I just don’t understand what is happening there. I just see a human tragedy with no solution.

@peterlee This is anti-terror legislation, specifically directed towards actions on UK territory. Nothing to do with the UK's diplomatic position on the status of Palestine (which may in any case shift dramatically this month).
@SunshineGirl if starmer wants any chance of remaining in power he has to recognise Palestine and continue from there

@wishforthenight According to the Government website, one of the conditions of doing so is Isreal not occupying the West Bank.
But that can all change now the Yvette is at the Foreign Office.
