@Dino11 Actually, the Dept of Justice was, until this year, largely independent of the President, and it was an ethics violation for the President to try to give orders to DoJ.

Many of those files were under seal until Jan 2024; many were released in the wake of Maxwell's conviction. After the seal was lifted, I can't explain why the DoJ didn't do what tRump did and assign 1000 FBI agents to work in shifts 24/7 looking for tRump's name.

Regardless. Honestly, if the Biden admin had released the Epstein files naming tRump, MAGA would have declared them fake and ignored them. Just as MAGA does every other charge against tRump. You know it's true: MAGA denies everything they don't like including climate science, immunology, virology, epidemiology, and the like.

You are basically asking why the Biden admin didn't treat an irrational cult as if they were rational. The answer is inherent in the question.
