What's one thing that would convince you to change your political position?

My political position really depends on the current issues at hand. I will vote for whatever party that I think has the best ideas in actually solving the issues. But I'll never vote for an extreme left nor extreme right party.

It helps that I'm not American and here in the Netherlands we get more than just 2 choices.
@FeetAreFantastic we aren't allowed to be practical here, we deny all evidence and stick with the narrative.

Looks like you folks are no different than we people in America. We have the same spread of political parties: Social democrats, right wing populism, green party, and conservatives.

@sree251 Social democrats and green party are non-viable in the USA. It's the exact same as if they didn't exist, as the choice will ultimately be between neoliberals and far-righters.

In Europe, social democrats and green parties can very well be part of governing coalitions, and have actual leverage on the other parties in the coalition by threatening to "pull the plug" and induce a govt. crisis if their demands aren't adequately met.
