Red states have blue cities. If those cities were important he'd send the national guard, he might.

@wishforthenight Maybe Chicago is more important than either of those.
@HobNoblin Well of course. They have a mayor who is openly critical of Trump.

@wishforthenight A loud mouth communist is indeed reason enough but it's probably more to do with the importance of the city it's self.

My state has the 8th highest violent crime rate in the country. My town where I live is in the 93rd percentile.
That means almost 19 out of 20 places in the US are safer to live than where I do.
And you’re right, curiously no one is talking about doing things like that here. Odd that, aight it?

Those cities are lost causes , economically speaking. Orange is sending troops to cities that are needed to contribute to the economic engine. DC, Chicago , Philly , NYC. America can’t afford for those places to shut down . It’s economics , not politics , for a change.

Yup. LA gets a bad rap and lots of tough love because it might attract socialists.

Both Democrat cities
@Joseph8284 I don't think we'll be seeing troops there any time soon, though.

@wishforthenight there's bigger fish to fry...

Maybe it's not about crime rates at all. Maybe it's about making citizens getting used to the presence of armed forces in the streets.
@helenS Of course it's not about crime rates. It's about cracking down on perceived liberal enclaves.

That is a lie.
@Reason10
Memphis - 77.8 homicides per 100,000
Los Angeles - 6.9 homicides per 100,000
But yeah Birmingham AL is only 8 times the murder rate of LA rather than 10
Ya got me.
