What kind of America do we want to live in?

My fellow Americans,

Today I ask you a simple but profound question: What kind of America do we want to live in?

Do we wish to remain in an America divided against itself, an America where mistrust and deceit weaken our bonds, where poor health and lost opportunity hold back our people?

Or do we strive for an America renewed—an America of healthier citizens, stronger schools, and safer communities? An America where parents can trust that their children are free to play outside until the streetlights come on. An America where kindness is not a weakness, but a strength—where we show compassion to one another, and in turn, find compassion returned.

I know times are hard. And I know the days ahead will not always be easy. But let us never surrender to despair. Let us reject the temptation of nihilism—the empty belief that nothing matters. Because everything matters. Our families matter. Our freedom matters. Our future matters.

If we can cast aside despair and embrace hope, if we can remember that our best days are never behind us but always before us, then together we can build a better tomorrow.

Thank you, may God bless you, and may God bless the United States of America.

What to live where the laws are followed and enforced.

@nudistsueaz Like those in the Constitution limiting a President's powers?
nudistsueaz · 61-69, F
@dancingtongue Of course but when states and cities don't, something has to be done. Would that be your job?
dancingtongue · 80-89, M
@nudistsueaz Isn't being done in whose opinion? The citizens of those cities and states who not only aren't asking for the help, but attempting to reject it, or a President exceeding his Constitutional powers?

@dancingtongue WRONG...The people are asking for it, pleading for it. It's the elected people that don't want it. Remember how just last year you were being told by people in DC the the borders were secure? The same thing is going on now, with some of the same people lying about it.

@nudistsueaz
It is the latest of at least five cases in which DC grand juries have declined to indict people on felony charges brought by prosecutors in Pirro’s office, according to media reports and legal experts who have been tracking the cases.

Pirro’s office has said it will charge aggressively as possible as part of Trump’s crime crackdown in the District.

Last time I looked, Grand Juries were made up of everyday citizens.

@dancingtongue There is a need for it to be done. Just glad I don't live there.

@dancingtongue Just a word to the wise, don't put a lot of faith in the news media.
dancingtongue · 80-89, M
@nudistsueaz I spent 50 years as an old-school, objective journalist and working with the news media I don't think I need to be told of how badly it has deteriorated into personalities, entertainment, and partisan opinions. But facts still are there if you dig through the garbage.
nudistsueaz · 61-69, F
@dancingtongue I understand that, what bothers me is, why do we have to dig for the truth???
dancingtongue · 80-89, M
@nudistsueaz Why not ask the FCC who did away with the fairness doctrine, the equal time requirements, and the community service requirements for broadcast news, turning it into another entertainment show? Or Rupert Murdoch and Roger Ailes who seized upon it as an opportunity to politicize as well as entertain?
nudistsueaz · 61-69, F
@dancingtongue THE FCC will lie. They are working for George Soros
dancingtongue · 80-89, M
@nudistsueaz The Fairness Doctrine was ended when the FCC was headed by Reagan's two-time campaign manager. He worked for Soros?
nudistsueaz · 61-69, F
@dancingtongue It's possible, seems more and more are.
