Far right gop candidate burns Quran saying this is a Christian nation

Says that Muslims are going to unalive your kids unless we do something to them like some character did in the Bible. It's true though that America is a Christian nation since God said he came not for peace but with a sword. As long as we believe in doing violence to others because of religion or minor differences against Muslims, black people, LGBTQ+ and women... we are indeed a Christian nation.

On a serious note, I'm honestly surprised people this violent like the gop women are even allowed to run. If you said that to anyone on the streets you could get charged for a serious hate crime.

Imagine running for government and you don't know the origin of your country and clearly have never heard of the Treaty of Tripoli.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow someone should remind her, dunno if one could email her and ask genuinely why she doesn't know history at this point, it's kind of a wonder

It’s only gonna get worse. Next they’ll demand they wear symbols, then they’ll be “relocated” to special camps. Then the gas chambers will be recreated in secret and by that time its to late to do anything.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I think the same back then though, there were slaves that helped catch other slaves. And it worked on two African groups colonialists pinned against each other. They told one group that they were better than the other. Lots of propaganda about how the tribe was stronger, looked better and was fit. Even if this wasn't true, it's the perceived views at the time.

It was very successful in getting them to discriminate against one another.

I feel like it's similar even though it's not, wish I had the answers

@DogMan Which politician burned a bible specifically for an ad campaign? Yeah that's what I thought.

What I'm hearing from you is that since citizens do that, it's okay if our leaders do that. But it's not the same thing. You are never going to control other people, just yourself and leaders have a different power dynamic. So using that as a rationalization isn't justified.

What if you were a paramedic and some gay guy stole from you sometime so there's another unrelated gay guy having an emergency and you steal his wallet from him in the ambulance because in the past a gay guy stole from you.

Does this make sense to do that. No.

We have a country that has conflicting religious views but we have freedom to be what we want. If you don't believe in that, leave.
