I’m pretty sure no one wants “free” healthcare…

… I’m pretty sure we all want healthcare paid for by our taxes, which covers everyone, and ensures that everyone can get treatment when they’re sick.

Yes but explaining how it really works doesn't fit the narrative.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I don't get that.

I mean, I understand that they think that will lead to government sanctioned deaths if the government controls the healthcare. I guess don't be a threat to the government then?

Also, i don't see how that argument stands up since basically, stockholders out for profit are basically doing what they fear tue government is doing, so...why is the government doing it any different? In many ways, people doing it for their own personal financial profit seems so much worse to me. 🤷‍♀

That is the only argument that I can honestly see because I think everyone would be much happier paying, at most, $30 a paycheck for health coverage than the $125+ they pay now to businesses who have put copays and pit of pocket deductibles, making that money a hell of a lot more.

Not to mention, if the government takes over the healthcare, standardization of cost of care will become the norm instead of trying to "shop around" to find out whose price book is the cheapest. This is health, not construction. We shouldn't have to price compare for that.

But, whatever. People would rather go broke than have price regulation and no out of pocket costs.
@FoxyQueen Sadly it is very simple. Billion dollar corporations control the narrative and literally buy off their elected officials who then reinforce the narrative.
