It isn't always white- collar education that helps you succeed. There are plenty of auto mechanics, heating and air repairmen, electricians, plumbers, ect, who make a very good living doing those jobs too.

I'm a white European woman and I believe a meritocracy is the best political system. 👍🏽

Are those who received an education and incorrectly assumed everyone else did too?
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
Because it is easier to succeed at life when all the resources necessary are handed to you on a silver platter.

@Thrust I do not waste time crying or complaining. I do my best to improve the status quo by personally supporting the ambitions of women and other marginalised groups in my workplace.

What is the myth?

@wishforthenight @Nitedoc Always? I don’t think anyone believes that. Sometimes it’s also not clear who the “best” is.
@Nitedoc It's the way it should be, but it's not. White men are almost always hired over others, regardless of qualifications.

No, the poor obviously do! Or we'd be dangerous to the ten percent taking up all the suburbs.

There are those who will never want to work, and demand handouts. Those people are a cancer on society. They refuse to accept merit based ideology because they feel superior to others. Those people we call socialists.

@MasterLee nailed it in one.
