The four “key takeaways” from the massively hyped meeting with Zelenskyy at the White House

1. A Putin-Zelenskyy meeting on the cards?

2. European leaders push back as Trump backs away from a ceasefire

3. Trump “hints” at security guarantees

4. Zelenskyy launches “charm offensive “

In other words: Absolutely Nothing

Nice one Trump..

It's called diplomacy and paves the way for further peace talks. Right now, neither side, (Russia/Ukraine) wants to be the first to stop fighting. This is why talks are in progress, possible conditions are being discussed, who is going to get what when it's all over, etc. A total ceasefire and an end to this war will not happen overnight. It will take time and a lot of diplomatic peace talks to bring it to a successful end.

@IM5688 on the contrary, Ukraine is offering a ceasefire and is willing to implement it immediately.

A ceasefire is the last thing that Putin wants. Think of all the orcs who would immediately want leave and would return home to reveal the truth.

trump is never going to pressure Putin in any way way. No secondary sanctions, no arms shipments to Ukraine, no lowering of the oil cap - nothing.

Never.

TACO is lying to you and all americans, and the world sees that and is laughing at you - and none more than Putin.

trump’s 24 hours are up!
@IM5688 it is nothing of the sort. Trump promised “severe consequences” for Putin if a ceasefire was not agreed. Now, he has ruled out a ceasefire, despite claiming he wants an immediate end to the fighting, and is now hinting at blaming Zelenskyy if he does not agree to surrender territory to Russia.

Ukraine is the victim, but Trump is nothing but a Putin puppet.
@IM5688 says

NOPE.
It's called kabuki theater and it paves the way for Putin to continue his slaughter without consequences. That's the key takeaway: no consequences for Russia.

Remember a week ago when tRump said there would be "severe consequences" if Putin didn't make a deal to stop the war??

What tRump didn't tell us was that the consequences would be suffered by Ukraine, no consequences for Russia!!

I don’t think they will ever be a ceasefire or a peace agreement. Just my opinion.

Who knows really?
@specman A few of tRump's peace promises

tRump, May 2023: “They’re dying, Russians and Ukrainians. I want them to stop dying. And I’ll have that done — I’ll have that done in 24 hours.”

tRump, Sept 2024: “That is a war that’s dying to be settled. I will get it settled before I even become president,” Trump said during his September debate with then-Vice President Kamala Harris. “If I win, when I’m president-elect, and what I’ll do is I’ll speak to one, I’ll speak to the other. I’ll get them together.”

tRump, Mar 15, 2025: "Pretty good vibes coming out of Russia" ... "I feel that Russia is going to make a deal with us."

tRump tweet, Apr 24, 2025: "Vladimir, STOP!"

Yeah, but Putin wants a deal... you know, to please pedophile enthusiast, Cry-Baby-trump. Putin loves him... like, literally.
Putin has a high tolerance for pain and or has Bidenitis
You’re aware of the ever tightening sanctions right? Do you even know what they are. @wishforthenight
@jackjjackson yes but no thanks to the US. The EU and UK are tightening sanctions; Trump is all for easing them.

You should be thanking the EU.
