Florida to Open Second Deportation Facility for Illegal Immigrants, Federally Funded

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced on Thursday that Florida will be opening up its newest immigration detention facility, after “Alligator Alcaraz,” which will be named “Deportation Depot.”

The announcement from DeSantis comes after deportations from “Alligator Alcatraz” began last month. “We are authorizing and will be soon opening this new illegal immigration detention, processing and deportation facility here in North Florida,” DeSantis said.
