Rep. Angie Craig Calls Trump’s D.C. Crime Crackdown ‘Unjustified’ Despite Her Assault By Serial Offender
Minnesota Representative and Democratic Senate candidate Angie Craig condemned President Donald Trump’s crackdown on crime in Washington, D.C., although she once swore to put a man who assaulted her in her D.C. apartment behind bars.
But Craig was not opposed to cleaning up the city streets when she was assaulted in an elevator of her own apartment complex by a homeless man who was reportedly acting like he was on drugs.
In February 2023, Craig reported seeing a man, who was later identified as 26-year-old Kendrick Hamlin, in the lobby area of her apartment building “acting erratic,” as if he was under the influence of an unknown substance, The Daily Wire reported.

Here’s the kicker—Craig herself was violently attacked in her own D.C. apartment building. February 2023. A homeless guy named Kendrick Hamlin followed her into an elevator. The man was high on something, acting crazy. She fought back and escaped. Good for her. She even promised “to do everything in my power to make sure there is not a 14, a 15, a 20.” Wait, what? Fourteen? Twenty? What’s she talking about?
You can’t make this stuff up. Craig was victim number THIRTEEN. This guy attacked twelve people before her. Twelve! And here’s the really insane part—he never served more than 30 days in jail. Not once.
The soft-on-crime system Democrats created let this predator roam free. Attack after attack. No consequences. And when cops finally arrested him for attacking Craig? He assaulted them too.
Now he’s serving 27 months. That’s it. For thirteen assaults. He’ll probably get out early for “good behavior.”
This is your Democrat Party, people. They cry about their own suffering. They demand justice when they’re the victim. But when it comes to protecting you? Sorry, that would be mean to the criminals.
