JD Vance refused service in Oxfordshire pub

The irony being that Karmala Harris dined at the same place a couple of weeks ago. "The Bull" is a very up market dining spot. And while everyone was happy to have Harris visit and spoke warmly of her, when they heard about the current VP booking in the staff mutinied and refused as one to show up for work if he turned up.. Just the latest in a string of "up yours" moments for Vance on his political holiday where he has completely failed to read the room. He has now taken off with his tail between his legs and headed for Scotland. Recent history indicates he will get a warm hibernian welcome there..

Being turned into a political sideshow is the last thing that a hospitality venue needs in high season.

@SunshineGirl Depends on the location. In the UK its highly likely that it has increased its popularity. If it had been in Scotland it could have doubled its bookings at the very least.

@SunshineGirl I am reminded of Sarah Sanders being turned away from a popular washingtom restaurant. You do need to consider how many boo0kings would have been cancelled once word got around that Vance had been there..😷

@22Michelle My information is that the place is already prestigious and difficult to get into..😷

@22Michelle The Woking branch of Pizza Express is practically a pilgrimage destination following its tenuous connection with HRH Prince Andrew.

@whowasthatmaskedman I remember President Clinton visiting a Birmingham pub for an "informal" pint in the 1990s. All other customers were excluded from the pub and adjacent premises and his security detail destroyed the glasses and plates used during the meal (in case someone tried to reproduce the president's fingerprint). Easier just to get a takeaway sent to the big house!

@SunshineGirl I find the expression "The Woking branch of Pizza Express" hilarious in itself..😷

@SunshineGirl While I have eaten in a Chinese restaurant in Port Douglas where the owner kept a collection of polaroids on the wall of his celebrity guests. Including Bill Clinton, sitting as a table eating in company. I doubt that would have been taken before he was President. But I cant exactly date it..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman It was a televisual highlight of 2019 when Prince Andrew invented the most bizarre alibi ever . . .
