What is interesting about this map is, it's some of the wealthiest areas in the state. While Austin itself is not wealthy. Rural parts is actually beside the point.
That whole area between the two cities is rural. And that map doesn't include New Braunfels either. Yet it does include Canyon lake above New Braunfels. Yeah I know about Canyon lake.
I'm very familiar with the area between San Antonio and Austin. I lived there once. In the poorer southern portion though.
Notice the huge differences in your New map to these current ones.
