Just How Close Was the 2024 Presidential Election?

Electoral Votes *
312 Trump
226 Harris
-----
*270 needed to win

Popular Vote
77,302,580 Trump
75,017,613 Harris

% of the Popular Vote
49.8% Trump
48.3% Harris

Pennsylvania
3,543,308 ... 50.37% Trump
3,423,042 ... 48.66% Harris
-------------
120,266 - a flip of 60,134 votes gives Harris the state's 19 electoral votes

Michigan
2,816,636 ... 49.73% Trump
2,736,533 ... 48.31% Harris
-------------
70,103 - a flip of 25,052 votes gives Harris the state's 15 electoral votes

Wisconsin
1,697,626 ... 49.60% Trump
1,668,229 ... 48.74% Harris

@SatyrService why so?
@MyGirlPhotoswell it distributes the voting power unfairly
states with small populations, get outsized representtaion,, By a lot

@SatyrService

If the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (NPVIC) had been in effect for 2024 and Harris had won Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan - and still lost the over all popular vote to Trump... Trump would have won the election.

So, tell me... What do you think Democratic voters would have done to Democratic legislators that had put the NPVIC in effect in their state? That is if you can think of anything that doesn't violate the SW terms of service .

(every state so far that has passed it was a blue state in 2024)

@SatyrService uh, that's the idea, so everyone is fairly represented? Otherwise California, New York and Texas would decide every election? Did no one else go to school??
@SilkandLace2 watch the video. it shows that is not the case

Democrats keep bringing knives to gunfights.

They unilaterally disarmed with all the so-called "good-government" citizen commissions to draw districts. You don't see Red states doing that. And there is not a single red state that has so far approved the NPVIC.

@SatyrService This video is nonsense propaganda. Who put this out, the George Soros Foundation? First: Our form of Government is NOT a democracy, and if we were still teaching proper civics in public school, you would know this. I suggest you read the Federalist Papers to learn more of how our Founding documents despised the thought of a "democracy" and why. Two: the Electoral is NOT a winner take all in every state. Three: Each state receives at least two electoral votes—one electoral vote per senator—and an additional number of votes equal to the state’s number of representatives in the House of Representatives. This ensures that even the least populus states receive at least three electoral votes. This system for allocating votes means that as state populations fluctuate with each decennial census, states’ total electoral college votes are responsive to changes in the composition of the country.
@MyGirlPhotoswell we are a "Democratic Republic" and tho it has been years I did read the federalist founding documents
the author of that video is a College professor with significant education
and YES every 10 years, the numbers are adjusted
but the math is clear
one can win an electoral vote tally with about 22% of the popular vote
watch it again,,and pause when you get to a sticking point
then do the fact checking yourself

the candidate that wins the plurality gets ALL of the electoral votes
there may be some states that do not do this
but i am unaware of any'
and the smaller states are over represented in the electoral votes

here is a different explanation'

@SatyrService We are not a "democratic republic", We are a Constitutional Republic. Starting in the 20th century after World War II, many countries used the term "democratic republic" in their official names—most of which were Marxist–Stalinist , or socialist, one-party states.

This insistence that the U.S is anything other than a Constitutional Republic is an assault on the very founding principals of the United States of America, and is a very dangerous and perilous path we are being convinced to follow..
@MyGirlPhotoswell say more about that.
we practice democracy
and are a republic, a nation run for the benfit of its citizens. from Latin "res publica"
and when in our history were we not practicing a democratic process
the founders were o f many opinions,
jefferson vs hamilton moderated and mediated by Madison
tell me more about this perilous path
