In the event the rest of the dems (not just the leftist fringe) support him will the “dems” become a third party fading into obscurity and the socialists become the second party?

Contemporary DemonRats are socialists and admittedly can no longer deny it. Like Invasion of the Body Snatchers, communism quietly sneaks up on socialism until it's taken over. Socialism is kinda like Communism Lite or Communism in a skirt.
