Columbia Ends Legal Fight
Columbia agrees to pay $200M to the government. Columbia will also pay $21 million to settle investigations brought by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Columbia also agreed to set up a twice per year review of its hiring practices, to ensure it no longer uses DEI in its hiring AND admission policies.
In return, Trump will release the hundreds of $Ms he withheld from the school.
This fulfills a campaign promise Trump made to force higher education to comply with administration politics.
