Sadly, deference to Trump seems to well, trump everything else.
Already seen some pundits like Tim Pool claim that releasing the Epstein files would be "releasing child porn" so it's good that Trump isn't releasing them.
The problem is, it's easy to sign a bunch of executive orders against wokeness. It's much more difficult to be transparent about yourself.

@carpediem Because it would’ve implicated someone in Biden’s administration? It’s not surprising that elites don’t want to release information that implicates elites.
In either case, it doesn't matter why Biden didn't release it. Biden isn't president right now and Biden didn't promise to release it. Trump did. Pam Bondi said it was sitting on her desk. Why won't they release it? Because it was just a thing to campaign on and rile people up. They would not risk implicating many of their own.

@carpediem If there's nothing implicating Trump why not release it then? Why campaign on releasing it then refuse to do so and claim it doesn't exist now? Why the reversal?
